Due to my recent hire at Heidelberg University, I thought it would be fitting to start producing some occasional clarinet content. Today, I am happy to share a review of the Selmer Paris Focus and Concept B-flat/A clarinet mouthpieces. A double review! These mouthpieces are seriously underrated and deserve more attention. TLDW: These are well-made and consistent mouthpieces that produce a brighter sound with good articulation. If you like harder reeds (3.5-4.0) and control, get the Focus. If you like softer reeds (3.5 or lower) and more flexility, get the Concept.
