Selected Performer for the 20th World Saxophone Congress in Harbin, China

Now that the news is made public, I'm excited to share that I was selected to be featured concerto artist and will perform Matthew Kennedy's "Ripple" for the 20th World Saxophone Congress in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China! The performance will take place in the Harbin Concert Hall in collaboration with the Harbin Conservatory Wind Ensemble.

In addition to my concerto performance, Duo Aurous (Benjamin Nylander and I), in collaboration with amazing vocalist Kenzie Heaney, are invited to perform a recital for the 20th World Saxophone Congress! We will present "American Music from the Ether," a mixed recital program of saxophone/voice/piano music on the subject of death and mortality:

  • William Albright: "Sonata"

  • Benjamin Nylander: "Dickinson Songs"

  • Marilyn Shrude: "Lacrimosa"

  • Frank Ticheli: "Songs of Tagore"

  • Lori Laitman: "Lullaby," from In Sleep the World Is Yours

Many thanks to the International Saxophone Congress, the organizers of WSC Harbin, and the programming committee for this wonderful opportunity; come hear these performances in Harbin, July 26-31!
